Step into a tranquil sanctuary lit by soft candlelight and let your body and mind melt into deep relaxation.

This 90-minute experience begins with a gentle restorative yoga practice. Supported by bolsters, blankets, and blocks, you’ll ease into soothing poses held for several minutes, allowing layers of tension to gently unravel.

From there, sink into stillness and immerse yourself in the calming vibrations of crystal singing bowls and delicate chimes. The sound bath is designed to release stagnant energy, soothe the nervous system, and help you return to a state of inner harmony.

What to Bring:

  • Wear comfortable, cozy clothes — soft layers, warm socks… even pajamas are welcome!
  • Bring anything that makes you feel safe and supported (eye pillow, scarf, special stone).
  • Eat lightly beforehand. Since we’ll be lying down much of the class, a full stomach might not feel comfortable. Aim to finish eating at least an hour before class.

Yogalates (60 minutes) – Strength, Balance & Flow

Experience the best of both worlds with Yogalates, a fusion of yoga and Pilates designed to strengthen your core, improve flexibility, and enhance posture while cultivating mind-body awareness.

This beginner-friendly class combines yoga asanas, Pilates mat exercises, and mindful breathwork to create a balanced practice that tones the body while easing stress and promoting relaxation. With a focus on controlled movement, proper alignment, and breath connection, you’ll build strength, stability, and mobility—leaving each session feeling energized, centered, and refreshed.

Expect a mix of standing, kneeling, and floor-based exercises, followed by a soothing mini Savasana to help your body and mind fully integrate the practice.

All equipment is provided, though you’re welcome to bring your own.

Grounding Yoga (60 minutes)

Discover balance, presence, and inner peace through this slow-paced grounding practice designed to leave you feeling calm and deeply relaxed.

This class focuses on floor-based and supported postures—such as seated, kneeling, and supine poses—using props like blocks, straps, blankets, and bolsters to encourage comfort and alignment. Each shape is held for 3 to 5 breaths, inviting you to tune into your body’s sensations and the rhythm of your breath.

Rooted in the mindful principles of Hatha and inspired by the teachings of B.K.S. Iyengar, Grounding Yoga blends movement, breath, and mindfulness to calm the nervous system, ease stress, and prepare the mind for meditation.

Each class closes with a restful Savasana, allowing your body to fully integrate the practice and leave you feeling grounded, centered, and renewed.

Perfect for all levels, this class is a sanctuary to slow down, reconnect, and restore balance—both on and off the mat.

Restorative Yoga is a deeply relaxing and nurturing practice designed to calm the nervous system, release stored tension, and promote deep healing. Using props such as bolsters, blankets, and blocks to fully support the body, this class encourages total surrender through gentle, floor-based poses held for extended periods—typically 7 to 10 minutes, and sometimes up to 20. The intention is to create an environment where the body and mind can effortlessly drop into a state of rest and renewal.

Inspired by the teachings of Judith Hanson Lasater, who helped introduce Restorative Yoga to the West through her work with B.K.S. Iyengar, this practice focuses on accessibility, comfort, and profound stillness.

This beginner-friendly class is ideal for anyone seeking stress relief, improved sleep, and emotional balance. Whether you’re recovering from injury, navigating life changes, or simply craving stillness, Restorative Yoga offers a safe and supportive space to rest deeply and restore.

Yoga Nidra, or “yogic sleep,” is a guided meditation practice that invites you into a state of deep relaxation and inner awareness. Lying comfortably supported, you’ll be guided through stages of body scanning, breath awareness, and visualization to calm the nervous system, release stress, and restore balance.

This soothing practice offers a sanctuary for complete rest and renewal—perfect for beginners and experienced meditators alike.

This practice is all floor based with supports of blankets and props as needed.

All equipment is provided, though you’re welcome to bring your own.

Take Back The Night Event

Take Back The Night-Fundraiser for Women in Crisis Algoma ~ PWYC (donation based class)

🕯 Tuesday, November 25th at 6:00 PM

Class Description:
Join us for a candlelit 90-minute event held in honour of those affected by violence. Together, we’ll create a safe, supportive space to root down, breathe deeply, and embody peace from within.

We’ll begin with a gentle intention-setting and short breathwork practice to calm the mind, followed by a slow, beginner-friendly yoga sequence designed to help you release tension and reconnect with your inner strength. Props such as blocks and blankets will be available for added comfort and support.

Our evening will close with a deeply relaxing 20-minute sound bath featuring crystal singing bowls and other soothing instruments—inviting rest, reflection, and healing vibrations.

This is a Pay What You Can (PWYC) event, with all proceeds donated to Algoma Women in Crisis in support of ending violence against women.

Let’s come together in compassion, awareness, and hope—honouring those who have suffered and those who continue to heal.
